How to Make Your Own Homemade Flea Repellent

Here is how to make your own homemade flea repellent naturally

Flea repellent is one of the most important items that you need to own to protect your dog from these parasites around the clock.

Well, you can easily find commercial products in any department store. The problem is that most of them contain harmful chemicals that can make your dogs suffer from side effects.

If you have ever experienced this, you will want to find the natural alternative that is safe for your fluffy friends.

The natural flea repellent that is non-toxic is hardly found in the market. But you can make it by yourself, using the ingredients that are probably available in your home right now.

Baking soda and sea salt

It might be surprising to find out if the products that you can find in your kitchen can make great ingredients for flea repellent. Mix up the baking soda with sea salt.

Then apply the mixture to the areas where the fleas would likely strike. A big warning! Don’t apply this mixture to your pet’s body. Our lovely furry pal likes to lick their fur for cleaning. Taking too much sodium won’t be good for their health.

Apple Cider Vinegar

The Apple cider vinegar is a great natural fleas repellent. Well, the good thing is that you don’t need to mix the apple cider vinegar with other ingredients.

If you find a bottle of apple cider vinegar on your kitchen cabinet, you could just use it to repel the flea. Consider containing this vinegar to spray bottle so that you can spray this onto the affected areas.

Mouthwash shampoo?

What? Are you serious? I know that you use mouthwash to wash your mouth, or probably your dog’s mouth. But I am talking about the mouthwash for human-like T*tal or L*sterine brand.

You can make your own flea repellent shampoo by the basic ingredient like this. Mix the good amount of mouthwash product with a bit of water and apply this to your furry friend’s hair.

That’s it! It will drive the fleas away from your furry friend. Anyway, you can also use this formula on other surfaces than your fluffy friend.

Liquid dish solution with vinegar

I know that it is a bit of an odd combination. But this works! You just need to mix the quality dish soap with white vinegar, and a small portion of water.

Mix them all and apply them to your lovely pet’s hair. Then wash it. The dish soap can kill the fleas. Meanwhile, the white vinegar aroma is a natural deterrent for fleas.
